About Kiwi Korners

Our Mission & Goal
Our mission is to develop and market new, exciting varieties of hardy kiwi (A. Arguta);  to act as the catalyst between academia, growers, and the marketplace; and to provide research, education, and extension.

Our goal is to provide today's consumer with high quality Kiwi Berries that are naturally vine ripened, highly nutritious, rich in antioxidants, and outrageously great tasting.

Kiwi Korners was founded in 1988 and consists of forty acres, twenty of which have been delegated for alternative, sustainable systems.  We received our Organic Certification by Pennsylvania Certified Organic in 2001.  We practice low impact farming methods and utilize only natural, organically acceptable nutrients to maintain vine and soil vitality.  Healthy soil, healthy plants, healthy people.

We have been involved in the ongoing development of this crop for the past twenty years.  Our research block contained the largest assortment of hardy kiwi ever assembled.  Varieties consisted of fifty named or numbered cultivars originating from all over the world.

Presently, twenty acres are dedicated to hardy kiwi, actinidia arguta.  This area, separated into eight different arbors, represents well over 3000 vines.
